Our client is a global manufacturing company and a market leader that supplies specialist products to environmental, aerospace and marine markets. Their growth forecast for the future is very impressive and to compliment this TRF Professional are recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their busy team.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the main objective of this role is to work to provide the best quality Custom Engineered Products, Converted Items and Services to Customers and to achieve continuous improvement in all aspects of their delivery.

Key tasks:

  • Manages New Custom Product Introduction productionisation including Work Instruction creation and sign-off

  • Responsible to drive First Article Inspection process to conclusion

  • Defines the most cost efficient Manufacturing Process by product group - utilising people, process and equipment

  • Responsible for Engineering Drawing and Work Instruction updates including effective configuration management of manufacturing data

  • Responsible for Continuous Process Improvement identification and implementation

  • Champion Lean Manufacturing principles during production

  • Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action implementation

  • Responsible for process to deliver repeatable quality product

  • Deputise for Production Shift Supervisors as required

  • Responsible for creating training courses and delivery to personnel

  • Institute good housekeeping / 6S Principles

Key skills required:

  • Experience within a busy Production environment essential

  • Degree educated or relevant work experience

  • Able to use initiative, delegate and innovate

  • Well organised, confident, self-motivated individual with experience in a similar role

  • A drive for continual improvement

  • A strong problem solver

  • Previous experience and/or knowledge of the Advanced Composites industry

Hours of work - 38 hours per week on shifts, 6.00 am to 2.10 pm, and 2.00 pm to 10.10 pm on alternate weeks, Monday to Friday and salary is negotiable depending on experience. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful company that can offer continued career development.
