This vacancy is a 12 months fixed term contract working for local charity Inspire Middleton as part of the Lighthouse Money Advice Service (FCA registered) based in the Lighthouse Project.
You will be part of a team and the specific aims of the role are to support clients from Middleton Central Foodbank to help them maximise their income, to tackle and/or reduce their debts, and to empower them with improved financial and digital skills.
The aims of the role will be achieved through financial triage assessments, debt and benefits advice casework, improvement of their budgeting and financial management skills, and improvement of their online skills and access to the internet to better deal with financial matters.
This role will involve face-to-face meetings, handling casework, liaising with internal teams, and external organisations (e.g. agencies, creditors, local authority, project partners, etc.), and the running of training and assessment sessions to achieve the projects aims.
Training and support will be given.
