Bookkeeper

Rochdale area

Mon – Friday – 37.5 hours

Permanent position

Salary £21,000 - £23,000pa (negotiable dependant on experience)

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper for a well-established accountancy in the Rochdale area. As a Bookkeeper you will be responsible for dealing with multiple clients from various background, preparing VAT and processing client’s paperwork, whilst maintaining an effective and efficient customer service at all times.

Responsibilities of a Bookkeeper

• Processing of all clients paperwork, ensuring it is all accurate ready for submittal
• Preparation and submitting VAT returns
• Bank Reconciliations
• liaising with clients on inaccuracies
• Dealing with day to day enquiries
• Covering of administrative duties

Skills and experience required

• Bookkeeping experience
• Experience within an Accountancy practice preferred but not essential
• Experience of using Sage and Xero are desirable, candidates with experience with other cloud-based platforms will be considered
• Payroll experience is an advantage
• AAT qualification is beneficial
