Pre-School Apprentice - BURNSIDE CENTRE LTD

Salary: £9,984 to £17,846.40 a year Per Year

Location: 36 BURNSIDE CRESCENT MIDDLETON MANCHESTER M24 5NN
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.45am - 3.15pm. Term time only (38 weeks a year). Total hours per week: 30 hours a week

This is a Pre-School Apprentice role for someone who would like to gain experience on the job. This is an ideal opportunity to join an Outstanding Pre-School based in Middleton. You will be required to deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 2-4 years and ensure the nursery is a safe environment for children.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Able to care for and supervise the children, regarding their physical, emotional and intellectual needs.
Work with the other staff team on planning and preparation of activities to meet children's individual needs.
Provide positive management of children's behaviour.
Be involved in the preparation, care, cleanliness and maintenance of the playrooms and equipment.
Supervise meals/snack times
Adhere to the Policies & Procedures of Burnside Pre-School and compliance with the guidelines of Ofsted

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Will undertake Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Food safety courses.
To have a Level 2 Early Years qualification and working towards a Level 3 Early Years qualification.
To undertake Functional Skills in maths and English, if not already achieved.
