Details:

The annual Get Oldham Working (GOW) jobs fair is back at the Queen Elizabeth Hall (OL1 1QJ) on Thursday 20 September (1-5pm) and there will be more than 600 job-related opportunities on show at this year’s event.

With a variety of jobs, apprenticeships and work experience openings on offer from employers across the borough and beyond, this is a great chance for you to meet potential employers – whether you are looking for work or a new challenge. Sainsbury’s, Metrolink and Mitchells & Butlers, will be among some of the employers attending the event alongside Manchester Airport Academy, Housing Units, Primark, Greater Manchester Police, the North West Ambulance Service and many more.

Training opportunities will also be on show for those of you who are looking to develop a certain skillset. Staff from the GOW team will be available to advise you about jobs, careers and access to training across a wide range of sectors within Oldham on the day.

There will also be plenty of space for you to complete any job applications that you pick up, with additional support on hand in case you get stuck with any questions. The event is free and no booking is required, you just have to turn up on the day.

Pay and display parking is available just outside the venue and Oldham King Street Metrolink stop is only a 2-3 minute walk away.

The Get Oldham Working jobs fair is run in partnership with Jobcentre Plus (Department for Work and Pensions), the National Careers Service, Ingeus and PeoplePlus.
