MLFHS, Oldham & District Branch Monthly meeting (only on zoom) 'Pit Lasses - the Female Miners of 1842'

An illustrated talk given by Denise Bates, Saturday 11th February, at 2pm.

Denise Bates is a historian and writer. Her interest in female miners started when she discovered that she was descended from one of them.

The talk looks at the role of women and girls working underground in coal mines.
