Event: SOS 'Superstars on Stage' Comedy Show

Thursday 16 August 2018
7.00pm

Jackson's Pit
Jackson’s Pit, off Barn Street, Oldham Town Centre, OL1 1LP

DETAILS:

Randolph Tempest is the host of the show as he guides you through the high and lows of his career introducing the characters and “celebrities” he’s met along the way. The Bee Gee’s legend “Barry Gibb” often pops up on the show who Randolph met during a 1986 European tour after he was booked as support act. Randolph’s brand of performance poetry went down particularly badly during a gig in Budapest were a riot broke out. Feeling guilty Barry Gibb still to this day pays him a visit during the show. Other characters include Chorley’s number one mobile hairdresser and Prince Tribute artist “Rinse”. Randolph met Rinse on the set of Purple Rain who was playing Prince’s body double at the time whilst Randolph was stunt keyboardist for The Revolution. During a lull in Randolph’s career in the late 80’s he joined a cult who believed the world was a dodecahedron. He left shortly afterwards but the cults concert secretary “Rod Shepherd” still lives next door to Randolph and is seen at SOS talking about other conspiracy theories. They both deny the existence of Australia despite Randolph touring a rather badly received version of “Death of a Salesmen” for 6 weeks on the Gold Coast with Steven Seagal (also on the show) in 1990.
