There's a frightful amount of fun going on in Oldham for Halloween this year, so get yourself down to the town centre and get a piece of the spooky action.
The Halloween Trail - two weeks only!
Saturday 21 October – Saturday 4 November
Take part in our free, augmented reality story trail around Oldham town centre and get the chance to win lots of prizes including Odeon cinema tickets, Swim passes and Summit Up Climbing tickets!
Collect digital stamps, try on the selfie masks, complete mini-challenges, and reveal the creepy creatures in AR.

A monster programme of FREE entertainment including:
- The Invisible Man – come face to face with the man who isn’t there, a living, breathing science experiment gone wrong.
- Praying Mantis - with their glowing eyes and fluorescent bodies, these giant insects look scary!
- Spooky music and face painting
- Family craft activities for all the family
Sunday 29 October
Oldham Halloween Half Marathon, spooktacular performances and children’s arts and crafts.
- Oldham’s half marathon start time is 9.30am on St Mary’s Way– come along and support the runners taking on one of the toughest 13.1-mile races in the UK.
- Halloween fun run start time is from 9.45am – kids are invited to join the run at St Mary’s Way and join in the Half marathon fun.
- From 10am until 3pm Beastie and Minder and a scary Inflatable Spider will be roaming around the town centre – come and say hi if you dare. Plus, Oldham’s favourite mascots Ollie and Millie will be around and there will be lots of free arts and crafts activities for the kids to enjoy.
