'Beryl' is an inspirational play which tells the remarkable true story of unsung champion cyclist Beryl Burton. Beryl was diagnosed with a heart condition when young and advised that she should not take part in strenuous activities yet she dominated cycling in the 50's, 60's and 70's, becoming world pursuit champion, national road racing champion, British record holder, world record holder, an MBE and OBE. This performance is a fundraiser for STYLE (St Thomas Young Ladies Enterprise) and another charity. Tickets are now available from Julia Haigh on 07572 423219.
