ATHLETIC have been playing catch-up when signing new players, but have so far snared five new signings for 2016-17.
Here's the lowdown on Stephen Robinson's acquisitions -
Josh Law: The full-back, who is also able to operate on the right of midfield, was released by Motherwell after two seasons and has a wealth of non-league experience having played for Alfreton for seven years. Known as a steady, reliable performer.
Connor Ripley: Standing at 6ft 3in, the on-loan Middlesbrough goalkeeper is tipped as a future Premier League player who last season worked under Robinson at Motherwell.
He moved on following the arrival of Victor Valdes on Teeside.
Lee Erwin: On a season-long loan from Leeds, the tall striker is reputed to have a good touch and will hope to prove himself a regular scorer at League One level. Another player to have experience working under Robinson.
Jamie Reckord: The left-back is a player Robinson knows well from his time in Scotland, where he played regularly for Ross County.
The former Wolves defender has had previous spells on loan with Northampton, Scunthorpe, Coventry, Plymouth and Swindon.
Luke Woodland: A holding midfield player, the 20-year-old won praise in his first spell at Athletic two seasons ago while on loan from Bolton.
A Philippines international, he performed well for the club last time out but had a quiet season in 2015-16 at Chester and Bradford Park Avenue.
