JOE BURKE . . . among Oldham's try-scorers against Rochdale
Rochdale Hornets 24, Oldham RL 30
OLDHAM RL picked up two precious points against arch rivals Rochdale at the Crown Oil Arena.
Scott Naylor's side, who are in a fight to stay in the Kingstone Press Championship, secured their first victory over Hornets this season thanks to scores from Joe Burke (two), Luke Adamson, Adam Clay and Luke Hooley.
Hooley, on loan from Wakefield Trinity, kicked five goals for the Roughyeds, who led 18-8 at half-time.
Rochdale also went in five times, but only landed a couple of goals courtesy of former Oldham skipper Lewis Palfrey.
The Roughyeds remain second-bottom in the table, though, as Swinton beat Dewsbury Rams 35-28. Only one point separates Rochdale, Swinton and Oldham with three games to go.
