FLEETWOOD 34, OLDHAM 7
OLDHAM went down to a heavy defeat at Fleetwood in the North Lancs and Cumbria League Division One.
The hosts scored four tries inside the first 20 minutes after piling the pressure on their opponents.
Roger Swindon, Ryan Richards, Alex Seymour and Tom Wilson all touched down, with Richards adding two conversions.
Oldham, who drafted in Phil Graham at scrum half, with Charlie Roscoe on the wing and Mark Goodman at centre, had coach Guy Lovegreen on the substitutes’ bench.
On the stroke of half time they gained faint hope when Gareth Barber crossed, following good work by Ian Sinfield. Goodman added the extras.
But the visitors failed to add to their score after the interval, and Mark Stevenson touched down twice to seal the victory.
Oldham are bottom of the table on five points, three adrift of nearest side Keswick.
