Christopher Brown: impressive performance

RUNNING: LOCAL athlete Christopher Brown performed with credit at the English Schools’ Championships at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.

In the 800m event, teenager Brown finished third in his heat despite competing against older and generally faster athletes.

The top four progressed to the final along with the four fastest losers.

Brown finished sixth in the final in two minutes, 0.45 seconds.
