Beckett bags four-timer

ALAN Beckett bagged a brilliant four-goal haul as FBT Manchester League Premier Division high-fliers Royton Town roared to a 7-3 victory at local rivals Uppermill.
Completing Town’s tally were Nick Alexander, Kyle Harrop and Mike Moss.
Uppermill replied through Martin Megginson, Timmy Raheem and Nick Warhurst.
That defeat followed ’Mill’s midweek 2-0 loss at Manchester Gregorians.
Avro secured a morale-boosting 3-2 home win against Walshaw Sports, but Springhead slipped to a 3-1 reverse at Wythenshawe Amateurs.
In Division One, Chadderton reserves’ struggles continued with a 2-1 home defeat by Elton Vale.
Royton Town’s reserves went goal crazy in Division Two, hammering their Hindsford counterparts 10-1.
