Deaf ‘C’ on track for top honours
Date published: 13 April 2016
DESPITE being held to a 3-3 draw by CBC in the Hollands Pies Oldham Amateur Snooker League, Deaf ‘C’ hold a significant five-point lead with just one game remaining.
North Chadd ‘B’ and Blue Club ‘A’ are in a tie for second place as the season reaches its conclusion.
It’s tight at the top of the cards section.
North Chadd ‘B’ and St Paul’s are joint leaders, with North Chadd ‘A’ four points adrift in third.
There are four play to for, so North Chadd ‘A’ could still finish top if either of the top two teams fail to pick up a point.
CHAMPIONS Comrades ‘A’ wrapped up their Saw-Tech Snooker League with a 4-2 win at home to Queen Street.
Runners-up Tara ‘B’ brought down the curtain on their season in style with an impressive 6-0 victory over Greenacres, while Cricket and Tara ‘A’ shared the points in a 3-3 draw.
Greenacres secured the cards title and Queen Street bagged top honours in the darts section.
Attention now turns to the team knock-outs, which get under way on Friday.
