Greenfield seal second spot

GREENFIELD enjoyed a terrific season in the Pennine Cricket League Under-15s 'A' Division, but couldn't quite overhaul Middleton to win the title.
Greenfield defeated Norden in their final game of the season, a result which secured runners-up spot.
Batting first, Greenfield built up a total of 125 for three, with Norden being restricted to 109 for seven in their innings.
Despite the win, the Ladhill Lane players ended the 2016 campaign two adrift of champions Middleton.
Royton (89 for four) finished third in the standings following a final-day defeat by Rochdale (90 for three).
Friarmere got their hands on the Under-Nines East Division title following a final-day win against local rivals Saddleworth.
Uppermill finished runners-up after they disposed of Austerlands in their last match.
Crompton have won the North Division crown after an impressive season.
They beat current second-placed outfit Heyside in their most recent game, scoring 111 for one in reply to their opponents' 74 for three.
Milnrow have won the West Division title.
