Join 'Culture Crawl Oldham' and raise funds for Maggies Oldham

Date published: 26 September 2017

Maggies Oldham is venturing out on a 10k evening walk - Culture Crawl Oldham - "full of fun, food and culture", on Friday 29 September.

Join in for a behind-the-scenes experience of some of Oldham's most iconic landmarks – all to raise money to help everyone with cancer.

At each venue along the route walkers will be treated to captivating cultural performances such as fantastic live music, spectacular arts and mouth-watering food.

Starting at Oldham Leisure Centre, the walk will move on to Gallery Oldham, followed by The Lyceum, Alexandra Park, Maggie's Oldham and the Blue Tiffin.

The Candymen - barbershop group, Lees Brass Band and Juba - Brazilian drumming band, will provide entertainment.

The money raised is important to allow Maggies to continue supporting people with cancer.

£60 pays for two hours of immediate advice and support for someone just diagnosed with cancer with a Cancer Support Specialist.

£80 pays for two two-hour exercise sessions, such as Yoga or Tai Chi for centre visitors exploring ways to help build strength and confidence during cancer treatment and afterwards.

To register for Culture Crawl Oldham – pay a registration fee of £20 and fund raise or buy a ticket for £60 with no fund raising obligation.
