A man was held at gunpoint during an armed robbery at Subway on Broadway in Chadderton at 7.30pm on Saturday 16 September 2017.
The offender entered the premises armed with a gun and a knife before threatening a member of staff and demanding cash.
The victim managed to raise an alarm as the thief fled with cash on a silver pushbike along Argyle Road.
The offender has been described as white, approximately 5ft 7ins tall, wearing blue waterproof bottoms and a thick black coat.
Detective Constable Phil Greenwood, of GMP’s Oldham borough, said: “This was callous attack that was completely motivated by greed.
“Thankfully no-one was injured, but that doesn’t excuse the distressing ordeal the man put the victim through. The outcome could have been much worse.
“I would urge anyone that was in the area at the time of the robbery that thinks they might have seen anything that could help our investigation to please get in touch.”
Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 1840 of Saturday 16 September 2017, or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
