Hodge Clough Primary School held a coffee morning for Macmillan on Friday (29 September) and raised £474 for the charity.
The children at the infants site all made cakes for sale and all our families and staff were invited to 'bake it or fake it' and the response to this was "overwhelming".
The whole school was invited to the actual coffee morning and the turnout was "amazing".
In the juniors all children were able to buy a cake at break time.
Head teacher Neil Cavanagh said: "Once again our school community has come together to support an extremely worthwhile cause.
“The staff are so proud of our children. They never fail to rise to the occasion."
