Oldham Mountain Rescue assist Ambulance Service to rescue teenager from dense and inaccessible parkland
Oldham Mountain Rescue Team assisted with the recovery of a teenage male who had fallen down a steep embankment in some dense and inaccessible parkland in Manchester on Sunday.
A spokesperson said: "After arriving on scene and assessing the situation the team decided it was appropriate to use a rope hauling system to assist in getting the casualty on a stretcher back to the top.
"When this was safely completed, the lad was transferred to an NWAS ambulance and taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary for assessment.
"The incident involved seven team members for a total of two hours 15 minutes."
