Resident hospitalised after nursing home fire

A resident had to be taken to hospital following a fire involving a third floor bedroom of a nursing home in Cooper Street in the Springhead area of Oldham
Firefighters using breathing apparatus carried out searches of the building and led one woman to safety.
The fire was dealt with using hose reels and crews cleared smoke from the building with positive pressure fans.
