Contractor vans parked in the disabled bays at Derker Metrolink station
Stuart Allsopp, an Oldham resident, contacted Oldham Times after spotting contractor vans parked in disabled bays during a trip to Derker Metrolink station on Friday (27 October).
Mr Allsopp said: “I was annoyed to find five white/silver contractor vans parked in the disabled bays.
“There were several men working in florescent jackets at the station.”
Danny Vaughan, TfGM’s Head of Metrolink, said: "We take the misuse of disabled parking bays at our park and ride sites very seriously and expect our contractors to adhere to the same rules as everyone else and keep these spaces free for those who need them.
“We are very sorry to anyone who was unable to use the disabled parking bays at Derker Metrolink stop on 27 October.
“We will continue to work closely with our enforcement team to challenge the misuse of our car parks.”
