Man hit by car in Oldham town centre attack

A man was hit by a car in an attack in Oldham town centre.
At around 2.30am on Saturday 11 November a man was walking across Union Street in the town centre when a silver Nissan Micra was driven at speed towards him. It then sped off away from the scene.
The car was driven by a white man wearing dark clothes and potentially a high visibility jacket or vest.
Officers want to speak to the victim – who is white and was wearing a black jumper over the top of a white shirt and dark blue jeans - to make sure he is safe and well.
Detective Constable Leigh Carnally, from GMP’s Oldham borough, said: “Our main priority is to make sure that the man who was hit is fine and we would urge him to contact police to let us know.
“I want to stress he is not in any trouble.
“We are following lines of enquiry to identify the driver and anyone who witnessed the attack is also urged to get in touch with us as you might have key information.”
