A man armed with a suspected gun threatened people as they used the cash machine at Tesco Express on Lees Road.
He approached a 39-year-old man as he used the cash machine at Tesco Express on Lees Road at around 6am on Friday 13 October and demanded cash.
The victim handed his money over and the offender fled the scene.
A short time later, the offender returned and approached a 45-year-old man at the cash machine. He proceeded to demand cash but the victim refused and the offender fled empty handed.
At around 7am, the same man returned armed with a knife instead and approached a 27-year-old man before again insisting he handed over cash.
The victim pushed the offender away but the robber hit the man with a heavy carrier bag knocking him to the floor before fleeing.
Police have released a picture of a man they would like to speak to in connection with these attacks.
Detective Constable Mike Patterson of GMP’s Oldham borough, said: “I am horrified by the audacity of this man, inflicting fear on innocent people as they simply withdrew money from a cash machine.
“We will not tolerate members of our community being targeted in this way and we are keen to speak to the man pictured in connection to these attacks.
“If you have any information about the man pictured or about the incidents then please get in touch with us as you may hold key information that can assist our investigation.”
