Silicon Valley technology entrepreneur Keith Teare joins Energi Mine

Oldham’s Energi Mine has made its most significant appointment to date with Silicon Valley based technology entrepreneur Keith Teare joining the company’s advisory board.
Keith Teare is the co-founder of TechCrunch, which was acquired by AOL in 2010. He has founded or co-founded several companies in the digital space since the early 1980s, both in the UK and Silicon Valley.
Amongst over ventures, Keith Teare is credited with being part of CYBERIA - the UK’s first internet café, Easynet - Europe’s first consumer internet service provider, RealNames - the first multi-lingual addressing system for the internet and Just.me - an instant messaging service.
Omar Rahim, CEO at Energi Mine, said: “We’re building a global business and Keith is a global name with a proven track record. Welcoming him on board is a real coup.”
Keith Teare said: “I have always focused on the point at which great change is happening - and that’s exactly where Energi Mine is. We can achieve something truly ground-breaking here.”
