GMP Saddleworth & Lees police launched the ZeroZone initiative in Lees Village
GMP Saddleworth & Lees police launched the ZeroZone initiative at Lees Village on Wednesday night - a community and partnership approach to tackling anti-social behaiour and drug use within the night time economy and licensed premises.
A spokesperson for GMP Saddleworth & Lees police said: “We were supported by Chief Superintendent Neil Evans, the commander for Oldham, Ashton and Stockport. Inspector Mohammed Bashir and Ps Neil Barker also attended along with their Saddleworth Policing team.
“Councillor Adrian Alexander represented the local council which has been unwavering in its support.”
Licensees from Lees Village lined up behind their new signs to send out a strong message of solidarity in saying NO ASB - No Drugs -No Excuses.
