Oldham Council CEO Carolyn Wilkins
The leadership of Oldham Clinical Commissioning Group (HMR CCG) is set to merge with Oldham Council by the end of 2018.
It is understood that Oldham CCG managing director Denis Gizzi left to take over two CCGs in Lancashire, and discussions are ongoing to enable Oldham Council chief executive Carolyn Wilkins to be recommended to lead the CCG.
The change comes after the region’s devolution team told the 10 CCGs in Greater Manchester to establish a “single commissioning function” with their council, the Health Service Journal reports.
