Food Aid Hun, Oldham has benefited from a donation of nappies from The Red Sea Pedestrians (RSP).

At the beginning of the month, The Red Sea Pedestrians (RSP) were struggling to find a charity to donate 45,000 Numark nappies, so they asked people to nominate a deserving charity.

The RSP received more than 3,000 requests, some from individuals in financial hardship, some from community centres and of course charities.

As per the RSP ethos, the nappies are now going to 20 North West based Children Charities, including Food Aid Hun, Oldham. The nappies were kindly donated by Numark and Quest.

Antony Wagman, RSP chairman of trustees, said: “We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the number of requests, the 20 selected charities will be able to distribute them to deserving individuals in their area”.

“December is an expensive month and nappies are such an expensive necessity, hopefully these nappies will give some people a well-deserved break.”
