Delays after car skids into embankment on M62

Delays on the M62 after a car skidded into an embankment on the westbound carriageway at Junction 22 - Saddleworth (Friday 26 December 10.00am).

Police are appealing to drivers to slow down and drive carefully in the snow.

The RAC said driving conditions would be very difficult, if not impossible, in the worst-affected areas.

Highways England urged people to plan their journeys, monitor weather reports and pack a snow kit of blankets, food, water and a shovel if they really needed to travel.
