Seven lucky Oldham people have woken up to a lovely surprise this morning as they discovered their postcode had earned them a £1,000 prize each thanks to People’s Postcode Lottery.

The Lees neighbours, who play with the postcode OL4 3JP, scooped the lottery’s Daily Prize on Thursday, May 31, 2018.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt offered her congratulations.

She said: “There’s nothing better than seeing neighbours win together, so to have seven winners on one street is just amazing. 

"Well done to everyone who picked up a prize in Oldham – I hope they all enjoy treating themselves with the cash!”

A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised £301 million to date for 4,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally.

One good cause close to the winners that players have supported is Baggy Trousers UK, which received £10,394 last year to run a peer support group for boys and men with testicular cancer.
