Defiance Gin has won a top award
Lees-based Defiance Gin has just won top honours in the World Gin awards, which were staged in San Francisco.
Defiance won a gold medal at the 2018 World Spirits Awards.
Defiance owner and distiller Paul Sheerin set the company up in 2017 having worked previously with Batch Gin, another award-winning gin company from Burnley.
Defiance won gold in the States with its foraged 57% Navy Strength gin.
“We are chuffed to bits," said Paul.
“We work very hard to create sustainablle foraged gins that are sourced across the UK, and are creative and moreish."
Defiance now have five gins in their range, including Premium, Wild Rose, British Strawberry and a very special Old Tom, made from birch syrup from Northern Pennine trees.
