Bingo! Steven celebrates £50,000 Oldham win

Summer is off to a magical start for one lucky bingo player.
While playing one of his routine games earlier this month, Steven Bray won the £50,000 Jackpot on the new National Bingo Game at Mecca Oldham.
Steven joined the Oldham club seven years ago after being introduced to the pastime by his late mother and father.
Despite winning several times over this period, the 35-year-old has never won such an incredible amount like this before.
Steven, who works as a high controller for Hire Station, couldn’t believe his luck when all his numbers came up on June 5.
Once the claim was checked, it was immediately confirmed the £50,000 jackpot was his to take and his life changed forever.
Steven (pictured below ith his friends at the club) said: “The win was a shock and I’m still getting used to winning such a big amount.
"It’s always a good buzz when waiting for the last numbers to be called and it’s great to meet new people from all walks of life!
“I work two jobs which keeps me extremely busy, so I’m hoping to use the money to take a break from my hectic lifestyle.
"Both my parents were regular bingo players and even though they are no longer with me, I like to believe the win was a little gift from them!”
Steven hopes to use the money to pay off his mortgage and take a holiday in the Maldives, a place he’s wanted to visit for a long time.
Tony Beverley, Club Managers at Mecca Oldham, said: “It is great to see one of our longest standing players win the National Bingo Game: he really couldn’t believe it when we told her there and then he had won a £50,000 Jackpot.
"The whole club cheered.”
