Lancashire Police are searching for a wanted man from Morecambe.

Jed Kane, aged 36, is being sought after an Audi A4 estate car rammed a black VW Golf near to the Lancaster Road junction of Whitby Road in Morecambe on Sunday (July 15), shunting the car containing a woman and a man on to a pavement.

The Audi has then mounted another pavement resulting in two passers-by having to jump out of the way to avoid being struck.

DC Lucy Illingworth from Lancaster CID said: “It is important we find Kane and so I would urge anyone who may have seen him or knows where he is to get in touch as soon as possible.

"We would ask the public not to approach him but to call the police instead."

Officers are also trying to trace people who were in the area and witnessed or filmed the incident.

DC Illingworth continued: “If you think you may have seen this, please speak to us as you could have vital information that could assist our investigation.”

Kane is described as white with short dark hair, blue eyes and has a tattoo of a panther on his back.

He has links to Manchester.

If you want to report a recent sighting of Kane, please dial 999 immediately.
