Three arrested after man is left with multiple stab wounds

A 50-year-old man was found with multiple stab wounds to his right arm, and a stab wound to his stomach
Three people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Middleton.
Shortly after 11.20pm on Friday (September 21), police were called to a property on Searness Road to reports of a stabbing.
Emergency services attended and found a 50-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his right arm, and a stab wound to his stomach.
The man was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
Officers arrested a 42-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder.
He has been bailed pending further enquiries. A 22-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman who were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder have been released without charge.
Chief Inspector Richard Hunt, of GMP’s Rochdale Borough, said: “My thoughts are with the man who was seriously injured in this attack, and I wish him a speedy recovery.
“We have increased patrols in the area, but I would like to reassure the community that we are treating this as an isolated incident, and I would urge anyone with worries or concerns to speak to our officers on the ground.
“I would ask anyone with information, no matter how small or insignificant it might seem, to please get in touch with police.”
