Motorcyclist in serious condition after collision in Oldham

Lees New Road in Oldham
Lees New Road, between Oldham and Ashton, was shut for several hours in both directions following the incident which is understood to have taken place at around 5am on Tuesday morning (5th February).
The road was closed between St Albans Avenue, in Ashton and Abbey Hills Road in Oldham.
Police have confirmed the incident is a collision and involved a motorcyclist and a car, the rider of the bike has been taken to hospital in Salford with serious injuries.
Investigation work has been carried out at the scene with the road now back open again.

Despite the disruption, St Damian’s RC school has tweeted they remain open as usual today but are warning parents on the school run this morning to be aware of the incident.
