Ex-Royal Artillery veteran Ryan, from Oldham, is presented with his certificate by Rochdale Councillor Janet Emsley
Eight Veterans Training Academy graduates are now fully qualified and on the look-out for steady employment after leaving the armed forces.
The Veterans Training Academy is an LGV training provider dedicated to ex-military personnel based in nearby Heywood.
Most of the veterans who come through the academy have experienced unemployment issues and lost their way after leaving the Armed Forces.
Recently the VTA ran a course with its partnership company, Tarmac, for the eight veterans and this will be the first step in getting them back on their feet and into employment.
it was a Traffic Management course led by Tarmac’s Training Supervisor.
The successful students were given a certificate and will now be signed up to sister company VTA Recruitment, and their staff will make it their personal goal to get them back into employment.
Once the veterans completed the course they were presented with their certificates by Councillor Janet Emsley.
