Christmas party, house parties and a pub land Covid-19 fines in Oldham

The incidents happened over the last weekend.
Greater Manchester Police have taken to social media to report on another busy weekend across Oldham borough which saw them hand out a number of fines for Covid-19 breaches.
They included people attending Christmas and house parties and even a pub serving customers despite being told by the Government that it must remain closed while the town is in Tier 3.
On a post on Facebook Greater Manchester Police’s officers in Saddleworth and Lees have detailed the 10 fines they handed out.
They include six fixed penalty notices for an address in Grotton for holding a possible early Christmas Party which saw a number of people gathering from different households.
The incident at a pub in Waterhead lead to two fines being handed out to the landlord after customers were found inside.
In addition to those fixed penalty notices being issued, a further two were handed out to an address in Royton for holding a house party and an address in Waterhead which was also holding a house party.
