Oldham Mountain Rescue Team in action on Sunday
Twenty two unsung heroes from Oldham Mountain Rescue Team spent two hours 12 minutes rescuing an 82 year old lady in the Park Bridge area between Oldham and Ashton on Sunday.
North West Ambulance Service requested the team’s assistance after the woman slipped on a muddy path injuring her ankle.
Said a OMRT spokesperson: “ She was very cold due to being on the ground, so she was wrapped in a winter casualty bag and she was treated by our team medics before being carried to the road on our stretcher.”
The Team thanked several passers by who stayed with the lady, kept her warm and directed them to the scene.
