Wrap up Oldhamers - it's staying bitterly cold all week
Date published: 08 February 2021

It will remain bitterly cold and windy overnight tonight. This is the scene currently at Oldham Edge
Oldhamers should prepare for a mini Arctic blast as snow showers and plummeting temperatures are set to be a feature over the next 24-48 hours.
The bitter chill and stronger winds hit the borough in anger over the weekend, and some snow has already hit the loftier areas.
It will remain bitterly cold and windy overnight tonight (Monday), with more occasional and potentially heavy snow showers moving from the east to the west.
It’ll be drier in the west, with showers most frequent in the east.
Temperatures will feel sub-zero (-4°C) with a biting wind-chill.
It’s set to be frosty and icy overnight, so please take care.
There’s little change in the overall feel tomorrow, with more snow predicted for the afternoon.
The very fresh feel is set to stick with us for the remainder of the week.
