Two men charged with the death of 8-year-old boy

Two men have been charged with the death of an eight year old boy in Tameside.
Kevin Jones, 34, of Gorseyville Crescent, Wirral has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing death whilst unlicensed and causing death whilst uninsured.
22 year-old Thomas McGrath of Gorton Road, Stockport, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Both men are due to attending Tameside Magistrates court on Thursday 15 April.
It follows an incident on the evening of Thursday 23 July 2020 where police were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Ryecroft Street in Ashton.
Safiullah Latif Asif, aged 8, suffered major injuries in the incident, and later died in hospital.
