Two off-road bikes have been seized by Oldham police following a crackdown by local officers.
A post on the GMP Oldham Central Facebook page read: “Officers from the Oldham Neighbourhood Policing Team have been working alongside the GMP #OpCamenca off road bike team to crack down on the illegal, dangerous and antisocial use of off-road bikes.
“Two bikes were seized as officers responded to public concerns and reports of ASB in the Oldham area.”
One local resident responded: “Well done - sick to death of seeing football pitches and kids playing fields cut up.
“Take them to appropriate places to enjoy yourself instead of spoiling things for others.”
Another posted: “Well done GMP - it's only a matter of time before they seriously hurt somebody.”
Meanwhile, an abandoned vehicle on Wilson Way in Oldham (pictured above) was recovered by the St Mary's Policing team over the weekend.
