There's been more than 730 COVID deaths across Oldham.
More than 730 people have died in Oldham due to Covid, according to official figures.
There have also been more than 40,000 cases across the borough.
Health bosses say that they're continuing to see a rise in the number of people being hospitalised because of the virus and a slow rise in the number of deaths.
One source said: "These worrying numbers are not just statistics; they reflect real people within our communities.
"This is why we’re doing all we can to encourage people to stop the spread of Covid in Oldham.
"We encourage all parents to consent to their children getting vaccinated as part of the school vaccination programme."
There's been a rise in young people contracting the virus, which health bosses are keen to address.
They say the benefits to young people getting vaccinated are five fold.
They include:
• A reduction in the chance of becoming seriously ill
• A reduced risk of developing long Covid
• Limits time spent away from school
• Cuts the time spent away from friends
• Improves mental health due to more time socialising
