Eager panto fans are the first to book tickets for NEXT YEAR’S Coliseum panto!

Date published: 18 November 2021

Pantomime fans have queued outside Oldham Coliseum Theatre to book the first tickets for the 2022 production.

The opening day of pantomime at the Coliseum – this year it’s the long-awaited Aladdin - is traditionally the day the theatre announces the pantomime for the following year and tickets went on sale from 10am.

After waiting two years for the Coliseum’s production of Aladdin, which was postponed due to the pandemic, Oldham’s panto-lovers were thrilled to be the first to book tickets for 2022 and ensure they got the best seats in the house.

The queue outside the Coliseum were greeted by the theatre’s Artistic Director Chris Lawson, who brought them all a nice warm brew and a mince pie.

Next years pantomime will be Robin Hood.

You can join real-life-hero Robin Hood and his band of Merry Men on the arrow-shooting, thigh-slapping adventure of a lifetime!

The nasty Sheriff is terrorising everyone with expensive taxes, and he’s kidnapped the Maid Marian! By robbing from the rich and giving to the poor - and with some very skilled archery - it's up to Robin Hood to save the day.

Oldham Coliseum is famous for producing one of the best traditional pantomimes in the North West. With the perfect blend of slapstick, silliness, hit songs and panto magic, Robin Hood is right on target for a festive family treat.

This year’s production, Aladdin, is sponsored by George Hill Timber, Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisers and N Brown Group. The pantomime’s educational partner is Oldham Hulme Grammar School.
