Addresses were raided in Derker
A 'large quantity' of cannabis, and mobile phones were seized by police in dawn raids at two addresses in Oldham this morning.
Officers from GMPs Oldham East neighbourhood policing team raided addresses on Afghan Street and Frances Street in Derker just after 6am.
A large quantity of cannabis was seized along with various drug paraphernalia and mobile phones.
A 25-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of importing Class B drugs and remains in custody for questioning.

Police Inspector Alan Saunders, of GMPs Oldham division said: "These warrants were executed as part of 'Operation Vortex' which is an on-going monthly operation targeting a different part of the Oldham district each time, as part of a major push to crack down on violence, drugs, weapons and anti-social behaviour.
"This was another good result for the team with drugs recovered and a suspect in custody. The drugs trade is a blight on our local communities and can destroy lives as well as helping to fund further serious criminal activity and we are doing all we can to make sure anyone involved in this type of crime faces justice.

"As always we very much welcome and rely on information from the public to help us to disrupt crime, and so I'd like to appeal to the public to report any concerns or information you may have that will help us to continue making Greater Manchester a safer place to live for everyone."
