Date published: 06 June 2022

A mental health charity is set to launch their new support space in Oldham town centre.

Tameside, Oldham, and Glossop Mind (TOG Mind) will officially launch their new premises on Union Street on Friday, 17th June.

The free event takes place between 4pm and 6pm where people can tour the space, speak with key health and wellbeing partners, discover more about TOG Mind’s local support services,  and enjoy some food and refreshments.

There will also be an opportunity to look at the new sensory space and art therapy room.

Local children’s author Andrea Bowker (Rab the Crab) will be attending to provide a reading and signed copies of her books.

Jenny Higson, CEO at TOG Mind said: "We understand how difficult it’s been for so many over the last 2 years and we’ve worked throughout to support as many people as possible. We’re so pleased to officially have our grand opening in Oldham, and we encourage people locally to come along on the day, find out about the range of support available and help us spread the word to others."

Health professionals are also welcome to visit the new space on the day from 1pm and find out how they can link in, make referrals, and support the charity.
