Special Constable Daniel Carson (aged 25), who was based within Greater Manchester Police's Rochdale division, has been charged with rape in connection with an incident that occurred in December, 2019.
Carson will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on August 1, 2022.
He has been suspended from duty.
Misconduct proceedings will recommence upon conclusion of criminal proceedings.
