An increased police presence in Oldham town centre will be visible over the next couple of weeks following recent reports of disorder.
Four people have been arrested recently, with more 'likely' to follow.
A post on the GMP Oldham Central Facebook page read: "After recent disorder around the Oldham Sixth Form College area, police have arrested four people for violent disorder offences.
"All four have been released on bail whilst further enquiries are carried out.
"Officers are currently reviewing CCTV footage in the area and further arrests are likely.
"There will be an increased police presence around the Oldham town area over the next couple of weeks."
