Witnesses sought following machete attack in Limeside

Detectives are appealing for witnesses in a bid to help identify two machete-wielding men who injured a man in Limeside.
Officers were called to an address on Oak Road in Limeside at around 5.20pm on Monday (October 24), to reports of the incident, in which a man, aged 40, was left requiring hospital treatment.
His injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
The first man is described as wearing a red and white mask around his face, black tracksuit bottoms, black gloves and a black cap.
He was approximately 5’ 9” tall, of slim build with a muscly upper body.
It’s believed he was in his late teens, early 20’s and his accent sounded local to Oldham.
The second man, who stood in the doorway of the living room, was wearing the same as the first man, including the mask covering his face.
He looked to be of similar age and had a slim build.
GMP are appealing to anyone who may have seen two males at the time of the incident wearing the same clothing, to contact them.
They are also asking anyone who has footage from dashcam, mobile, CCTV or doorbell, to come forward.
