Oldham community stalwarts Bill and Janet Heap had a very special date with King Charles III at Windsor Castle as they were presented with their MBE medals.
Bill and Janet were both awarded MBE’s in the Queens Honours List in June last year, and subsequently attended their investiture at Windsor Castle on Tuesday (January 31).
Bill and Janet's MBE’s where given for their continued service to the community in Oldham over the past 33 years.
They run Dovetales Christian Centre, on Beal Lane in Shaw, and have two thriving groups, a Craft Group Wednesday morning and a very busy Over 60s Group on Thursday afternoons.
They also run a 'Keep Warm' project running October to March on Wednesday and Thursday mornings, 10.30am to 12 noon.
