Police in Mossley and Carrbrook have urged car owners to be more security conscious after a high value stolen car from the area was recovered.
A post on the GMP Tameside North and East Facebook page read: "On Saturday evening (11th February), an oustanding stolen Range Rover Evoque, which was displaying false plates, was located by officers from GMP Tameside's Neighbourhood Policing Team.
"The Neighbourhood Beat Officers who cover the Mossley and Carrbrook wards found the vehicle on Friezland Close, Carrbrook, and had it recovered so it can be returned to its rightful owner.
"Make your vehicle even more secure by having an immobiliser fitted professionally and/or consider the use of a steering lock, which acts as a visual deterrent to thieves."
Anyone with information about the theft of motor vehicles can contact Greater Manchester Police online here, or call 101.
In an emergency, always dial 999.
Information about crime can also be reported anonymously via the independent charity, Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
